A full rewrite rather than a revision. The rights moved, the original co-author is gone from the cover, and the new edition reckons openly with harm done inside the community the first book helped build.

The framework is much less rule-based than the 2014 version. More attachment theory, more on power and consent, far less confidence that a sufficiently clear agreement solves things.

What makes it interesting outside its subject is that it is a book publicly correcting its own earlier advice. That is rare in any genre.
