Apollo gets thrown off Olympus as a mortal teenager named Lester Papadopoulos, acne included, and has to earn his way back.
Switching to a god’s first person narration is the smartest structural choice in any of these books I have read. Percy was sympathetic from page one. Apollo is insufferable, and the series is about him slowly noticing it.
Read May 2022, straight off the back of The Last Olympian.
