A heist novel with a hard science fiction frame. A con man engineered as Homo quantus, able to enter a state where he perceives quantum information directly, assembles a crew to move a fleet through a wormhole nobody is supposed to use.
The crew assembly is the best part, as it is in every heist, and the genetically diverged human subspecies give it a texture the genre usually lacks.
A Canadian debut, and the physics is doing real work rather than decoration.
