The premise is that most of what we call aging is actually decay, and that decay is a signal your body is responding to rather than a clock it is following. Exercise sends the growth signal. Sitting still sends the other one.
Harry’s rules get repeated throughout: exercise six days a week, do not eat garbage, care about people, connect, commit. The structure alternates between a doctor explaining the biology and a patient explaining what it actually feels like to do it.
Six days a week is the number that most readers argue with. It is also the only part that is not negotiable in the book’s own logic.
